Feasibility study and sketch design proposals for the provision of streetscape and shopfront improvements in the historic centre of Dunblane. The study was intended to provide the basis for a programme of public consultations and applications for grant assistance to enable implementation of the improvements.
Because of anticipated limitations on funding the streetscape proposals were concentrated at key points along the High Street. They were generally aimed at reclaiming space for the pedestrian in a manner that would compliment and enhance the character of the town whilst also recognising the continued need for access to the High Street shops for both cars and service vehicles.
The study proposals were prepared in close collaboration with the client body, Stirling Council and the Dunblane Forum. <Back to Projects Index |
